Going by its orientation this fragment seems to have been part of the meandering line between Pilton Junction West and Granton Harbour, which ran through the Granton Gasworks providing a connection from the gasworks to the NBR at the shore. This area was once quite industrial and threaded with railway tracks a few short sections of which survive in the tarmac. View looks south west. The road formerly gave access to the Regent Oil Depot. Photographed incidental to my daily exercise permitted under emergency coronavirus legislation.
