North Queensferry
Formed of EWS stock but run by First ScotRail this set beefs up commuter services on the Fife Circle with an Inner in the morning and an Outer in the evening, so in terms of getting into Edinburgh (mostly what it's about) it's the western (Dunfermline) half of the circle which benefits. An all maroon train with a proper engine (though, let's face it, not a pretty one) it attracts stares from onlookers though seeming indifference from passengers. 67008 is the locomotive, photographed at North Queensferry on 4 March 2009.
