Tweedmouth

4472 Flying Scotsman runs north through Tweedmouth station on 9 May 1964 with Pegler's Pullman en route from Doncaster to Edinburgh. Part of Tweeedmouth shed (52D) can be seen in the right background. The locomotive spent the following 9 days in Scotland on railtour duty and returned south light engine on 18 May. It was during this visit that the initial work on the Terence Cuneo painting of 4472 on the Forth Bridge was undertaken.
