Yoker

The press got hold of the announcements '...via Yoker not calling at
Yoker' some years ago and made the name briefly famous.  Why Yoker was chosen to signify this route is a bit of a mystery as it's the least used station of the five - Jordanhill, Scotstounhill, Garscadden, Yoker and Clydebank - and surely the least recognizable location (forgive me, Yoker).  However it is now established.  On the cold grey morning of 20 January 318 250 brings in a Dalmuir service with a Lanarkshire origin.
