Preston Grange Level Crossing

B1 no 61029 Chamois with an up train on the ECML west of Prestonpans in April 1964. (The train is possibly the Dunbar local that left Waverley around 5.38pm and Prestonpans at 6.01pm.) Preston Grange Level Crossing (also known as Dolphingstone) is behind the train and Morrisons Haven SB can be seen in the right background. Major realignment of the ECML was carried out in this area some 40 years later due to subsidence resulting from old mine workings see image 24240.
