Warrington Bank Quay

As the Class 37s celebrate fifty year's of main line service, two slightly younger members hustle a pair of flasks north through Bank Quay station. Still in front line service with DRS, second loco 37607 is approaching its birthplace, Vulcan Foundry, from where it emerged in January 1963 as D6803. Leading loco 37602 left Robert Stephenson & Hawthorn's plant in Newcastle two months earlier as D6782.
