Victoria Embankment

PS Tattershall Castle alongside Victoria Embankment on the Thames upstream from Charing Cross (Hungerford) Bridge in March 1976, in use as a floating pub/restuarant. Built in 1934 for the LNER, this was one of the last of a trio of paddle steamers used on the Humber Ferry. The others were PS Lincoln Castle and PS Wingfield Castle, now a floating exhibit at the Hartlepool Maritime Experience Museum. The vessel astern is the 'Hispaniola', another restaurant ship, originally the TSMV Maid of Ashton, one of the four Clyde 'Maids', now much modified.
