Campbeltown

An extract from the 1921 map of Campbeltown showing the light railway now extended from the 1899 route See image 33448 through a cutting and onto the town's quayside over reclaimed land. A triangular junction has also been created near the railway depot. By this time the passenger service had been operating for around fifteen years but within ten years from this date would cease following which the railway was dismantled.
