New generation tram 3006 leaves the Shudehill Interchange heading for the next stop at nearby Manchester Victoria on its way to Bury. Shudehill tram stop opened in 2003 and the full bus interchange some three years later. The 3000 series trams are being introduced to cover the services on the new Metrolink lines to Rochdale, Ashton and Didsbury but are being used alongside the existing 1000 and 2000 series vehicles on Bury and Altrincham service in the interim.
