Greenock Harbour

Two legendary LNER paddle steamers photographed at Greenock in March 1965. 'Waverley' on the left has had her hull repainted in the new blue, while the withdrawn 'Jeanie Deans' has sailed her last for CSPC, having been withdrawn after the 1964 season. She was sold and became, until 1967, the ill-fated Queen of the South on the Thames, going for scrap in that year. Happily her consort sails on but is in dire need of funds to keep going.
