Heaton Lodge Junction

An early evening eastbound Trans-Pennine express, probably the 18:05 Liverpool - Leeds, comes off the Huddersfield line at Heaton Lodge East Junction behind an unidentified class 47 in the summer of 1983. The train is about to join the section of the Calder Valley line to Thornhill LNW Junction once controlled by the LMS speed signalling scheme of 1932.
