Smethwick Galton Bridge
172219 pauses on the High Level Southbound platform at Galton Bridge. Wooden sleepers were used on this section to reduce the dead weight supported by the viaduct when this section was re-opened as part of the Jewellery Line. Not a Lot of People know that, as Morris Micklewhite might say.
