Huncoat: Direct Rail Services 66426 passing through Huncoat on 18th February 2025, working the 6E73 1035hrs Shap Summit Quarry to Doncaster Up Decoy. In early 2025, Shap Summit Quarry has seen a sharp increase in operations with this flow of ballast to Doncaster running more regularly, whilst DRS also have the contract to move stone from Shap to Drigg BNF on the Cumbrian Coast for the next few weeks.

Elgin: A touch of sunshine catches 43139 as it approaches the overbridge at Barmuckity, just east of Elgin, with the 12.31 Inverness - Aberdeen on 16th February 2025. 43169 was at the rear of the train.

Appleby: Trains becoming like buses! It had been 4 months since a gypsum train ran through Appleby until Saturday 8th February 2025 when 66620 brought the empties through heading to Hunslet Yard for servicing. Seven days later, on the 15th February 2025, 66547 brought the empty GBRF branded JNA box wagons through Appleby working the 6E97 1100 New Biggin British Gypsum to Stourton Neck Sig S912, before entering Hunslet Yard for the weekend.

Hyndland Depot: Photographed in March 1981, from the kitchen window at the back of one Hyndland’s many tenement flats, a freshly painted electric unit sits outside the ‘blue train’ depot. The then relatively new 'Trans Clyde' branding has been applied, but there is no sign of the Greater Glasgow 'GG' that sometimes preceded it.

Reddish Junction: 195122, stopping service from Sheffield to Manchester Piccadilly, has just left Brinnington on 15th January 2025. At the end of this cutting was Reddish Junction, where the chord from Brinnington Junction trailed in from the left, and immediately beyond that is the long tall Reddish Viaduct - see image [[88906]].

Abercairny: This large stone bridge crossed the Crieff-Perth line immediately west of Abercairny station. It carries a minor road. The view looks east with the station building just visible on the left through the arch. The DfT designation is AVB/15.

Aberthaw: Busy in the sidings at Aberthaw in April 1987, 37800 has arrived with empty mgr from the power station. 37801 has a loaded train to tip at the power station. At this time quite a bit of coal was coming from Deep Navigation Colliery .
