Winslow: The first commercial freight train has travelled along the East - West Rail line as part of its journey into a new strategic rail freight interchange in Northampton.
Shawclough and Healey: Walking down the trackbed from Healey Dell Viaduct towards Rochdale it comes to a sudden end by this old bridge. Cyclists and horses should leave jst before this point but pedestrians can cross the new footbridge and continue down a 'ginnel' emerging onto the small housing estate that has been built on the site of Shawclough and Healey station. On the far side of the houses the old railway embankment can be picked up again and the railway followed down to Wardleworth.
Liverpool South Parkway: 777016, Merseyrail Northern Line Hunts Cross to Ormskirk, departing from Liverpool South Parkway, an interchange with National Rail services, at 10.10 on Tuesday, 29th April 2025.
Cefn Viaduct: 70815 crossing Cefn Mawr Viaduct, near the former station of Cefn, on 19th May 2025. The train is the 12:52 Carlisle Yard to Chirk Kronospan Logs.
Ellangowan Paper Mill: The short branch which served Ellangowan Paper Mill went off in a northwest direction shortly before Milngavie station but appears to have been well constructed. This shot dates from either 1968 or 1969 and is looking in the direction of the mill.
Inverkeithing East Junction: The 12.07 from Aberdeen to Edinburgh passes Inverkeithing, powered by 43147 and 43164, on 5th July 2025.
Burntisland: 158735 departs Burntisland with the 10.14 from Perth to Edinburgh as the 'Floral Express' looks on.
Edinchip Accommodation Bridge: High above Lochearnhead the C&O began to turn north west to enter Glen Ogle. This is a 2024 view, a little more overgrown than the 1993 view.
Inverkeithing East Junction: Colas 56090 runs over the North/East avoiding line at Inverkeithing, with a Grangemouth - Fife and return route learner, on 1st July 2025.
