Closeburn Quarry Signal Box (-1917)

Opened on the Glasgow, Dumfries and Carlisle Railway.

Description

This signal box was on the west side of the line opposite a siding for the long tramway to Closeburn Quarry.

The siding was on the east side of the line and approached from the north. By reversal the long tramway (just under two miles) to the quarry was reached.

The box closed in 1917.
