![9 F No. 92212 waits patiently at Medstead and Four Marks Station, to take it's train 'over the Alps' to Alton. Although at 642 ft AOD, and said to be the highest standard gauge station in Southern England, Northerners may say that it's not quite Stainmore or Slochd. ![<I>Schools</I> 4-4-0 No.925 'Cheltenham' on 28th December 2017, just having departed Medstead for Ropley. For those interested in seeing and hearing a steam engine at work it is advisable to find a good spot on the steep section from Ropley to Medstead. It can be worth getting out of bed for!<br>
