Introduction

This railway ran from Dublin to Navan. A portion has been re-opened from Clonsilla to M3 Parkway (north of Dunboyne), a park and ride station.

Incorporated. Originally planned to run from Lucan on the Great Southern and Western Railway.
29/08/1862Dublin and Meath Railway
Opened from Clonsilla (Midland Great Western Railway) to a temporary Navan [DMR] terminus. After earlier consideration of an independent Dublin station, access was granted to Dublin Broadstone. Contractor Moore Brothers.
15/12/1862Dublin and Meath Railway
Short curve from Navan [DMR] to Navan Junction opened, allowing running over the Dublin and Drogheda Railway to Kells [County Meath].

Midland Great Western Railway takes over the working of the Meath line.
