This monument to Sir Walter Scott (1771-1832) is a Gothic spire 200 ft 6 in high which was built between 1840-44 on Princes Street, Edinburgh. It is located on the south side of the road, north of the east end of the Princes Street Gardens and west end of Edinburgh Waverley. The tower has many statues, notably of Scott himself and also of characters in his many novels.
