8th March 2013 was a momentous day in the history of the UK's first preserved standard gauge heritage railway when the Bluebell finally achieved its long term aim of reopening to East Grinstead and a connection with the National Rail network that was lost when the Haywards Heath to Horsted Keynes line closed in 1963. This view shows the, as yet, somewhat spartan new terminus for the Bluebell Railway on the morning of Bank Holiday Monday, 6th May 2013, a few weeks after the extension from Kingscote opened.
