At the junction of Leith Walk and Stead's Place stood the entrance to the former Caledonian goods depot at Leith Walk West. View in September 2006 with the metal entrance gates still in place but the site now occupied by new flats. The flat roofed red sandstone block on the right, fronting Leith Walk itself, was built by the LMS in the 1930s. Part of the upper level reportedly housed railway goods offices.
