Methil East Junction

Methil Power Station, commissioned in 1965 to run on coal slurry from the Fife washeries and coal-bing waste. Decommissioned in 2000 the structure is seen here in July 2007 awaiting demolition. The bridge also carried traffic to the coal-drops at Methil docks (including coal from the former Wemyss Private Railway). See image 6242.
