The former Burntisland control bunker on 12 October with the new Lammerlaws Bridge (now open) in the background.
[Railscot Note: The Burntisland Emergency Railway Control Centre was part of a proposed network of 30 such emergency centres planned by the BR Board in the early 1950s and was constructed in 1955. The building, a single storey blast protected blockhouse, was never fitted out and is one of only 4 built before the plans were shelved in 1956. The other 3 were built at Brickett Wood, Knebworth and Huyton Junction. The bunker now houses a diving shop.]
