Traditionally a well kept station, a section of the down platform at Dumfries shows an interesting selection of platform furniture in May 2008. On the left above the wooden bench is a notice marking Dumfries as Best Station 1987. A tub of plants stands alongside the booking office door. An old platform kiosk, recently repainted, is being used to display art works. The former platform drinking fountain is on the right, with a red pillar box standing alongside. As for the canopy...
