Opened in 1854 as Gammer Lane, then renamed Fulwood and finally Ribbleton from 1900 until closure to passengers in 1930. The station building then became houses although freight trains continued to pass through until 1980. The building is now in a sorry state. View towards Deepdale and Preston from the adjacent Gammull Lane (sic) where there was an overbridge until recent years. The branch trackbed can be followed from the site of Ribbleton (Red Scar) sidings past here to Deepdale as it is now a public cycleway and footpath.
