Dereham

A train of loaded grain wagons approaches Dereham station in April 1984 after a trip up to the granary at North Elmham. The crew had 6 hours on the branch to conduct their brief business, a secluded rest room on Dereham station and suspicion for inquisitive strangers with cameras. Photographing this train on the move north of Dereham became a game of endurance and disinformation. This traffic ceased in 1989 and the line is fortunately now in the hands of the Mid Norfolk Railway.
