The ladies of Garston, on the St Albans Abbey Branch, prepare themselves for the arrival of their British Rail Christmas Shoppers Special on a bright December morning in the late 1960s. The train is formed by a Derby lightweight DMU, the last example of which was withdrawn in 1969.
