Thornton Shed [2nd]
Gresley Ex-LNER class D49 4-4-0 62744 The Holderness in the stored locomotive sidings alongside Thornton Junction shed in May 1959. The locomotive was later reprieved and transferred to Hawick shed in April 1960, where it survived for a further 8 months see image 24467.
