View of the train shed of the abandoned Gare du Sud in Nice in April 2007. The station served the Chemin de fer de la Provence (CFP) until 1991. After the failure of one redevelopment project it is currently planned to turn the remains of the station into a media library and sports complex, using the overall roof to mount some 2000 solar panels. The CFP currently occupies an uninspiring much smaller modern station (Nice CP) behind the photographer but still operates the route to Digne.
