Looking east at Muirkirk. The line straight ahead goes to Lanark and the pugs are on the curve from the old ironworks at Muirkirk. Off to the right is the goods yard and further off to the right, out of shot, is the locomotive shed close by Linkyburn Square. This viewpoint was the site of the original station in Muirkirk.
