North Shields
The 1890 NER station at North Shields on 6 August 1980, just 5 days before the station was closed for refurbishment and electrification in connection with the Metro project. The new North Shields was reopened as part of the Tyne & Wear PTE Metro system on 14 November 1982. See image 2271
