Parkhead Shed
The east end of 65C Parkhead MPD looking towards the city centre circa 1962 with J36 0-6-0 65246 nearest the camera. Beyond the shed stood Parkhead North station (closed 1958) and, beyond that, the Parkhead Forge (final closure 1976). 65246 was also on shed together with another 45 steam locomotives during a recorded visit on Sunday 1 October 1961, with the predominant classes on that day being V1/V3, of which 18 were present.
