Southport
The trainshed at Southport Chapel Street still spans six platforms plus an EMU stabling road. Platforms 1 to 3 on the right service the Liverpool EMUs and 4 to 6 the diesel trains for Wigan, the lines dividing immediately outside the station. Platform 3 on the opposite side of the island to the Sprinter is the only line that can access both routes.
