Singleton
Situated a long way from the village it was supposed to serve, Singleton station closed in 1932. Until the 1990s a small signal cabin remained as an intermediate block post here but now only the approach road survives to identify the location and that is clarty to say the least as can be seen in this image of a 156 heading for Blackpool North.
