Before work started to re-instate the Maryhill-Anniesland line it was still possible to look through the gate down the old tunnel between Dawsholm and Temple Gasworks. This low tunnel carried a private railway and passed under the Forth and Clyde Canal. Surprisingly the track was still in place at the Dawsholm end.
