Atherton
156461 is Manchester bound at Atherton, viewed from the road overbridge in September 2008. The staircase leading to the booking office can also be seen in this view as can the formation of the second line but the old platform is covered by trees. At the time of our visit the overall roof on the island platform was being painted underneath.
