Opened in September 1994 as Prestwick International Airport the station nameboards nowadays show Glasgow Prestwick Airport, although no reference to an official change of name can be traced (so far) through the usual sources. This is coincidentally the only Scottish station operated by a local authority (South Ayrshire). Photographed on 12 November 2008.
