Test Match Special listeners of a certain age will know this station better as Warwick Road, which it was called until the trams came. 1002 arrives on an Altrincham service. The trams only used a small section of the original long platforms and since this picture was taken the Manchester platform has been moved to the other side of a newly installed foot crossing.
