Ropley
73096 and 92212 resting at Ropley shed on the Mid Hants Railway, after their Christmas exertions. I was told by an elderly, bearded gentleman that the pallet-like attachment on the chimney of the 9F was part of an experiment being undertaken on behalf of the Health and Safety Executive aimed at the prevention of erroneous incursions by Santa at this time of year.
