Beattock
Looking the worse for wear, one of Beattock's final stud of steam bankers, Fairburn 2-6-4T no 42688, stands outside the shed not long before withdrawal in May 1965. The locomotive was cut up at Motherwell Machinery & Scrap, Wishaw, in July of that year.
