Highbury and Islington
Looking east towards Highbury & Islington station NLL platforms in July 2005. A Richmond - North Woolwich 313 Silverlink service stands at the eastbound platform, while a westbound freight runs past the station. The interchange links provided here, serving passengers on the North London Line, Victoria Line and Northern City Line will be further extended when the station becomes the new northern terminus of phase one of the East London Line extension in 2010. The London Borough of Islington is currently considering redevelopment of the station, including building a large office/retail block over the current station site.
