To the north side of Ingleton gorge was the Lancaster and Carlisle, later LNWR, station. Once the dispute between the Midland and LNWR over through running was resolved this station became redundant although it did not finally close until 1916. The station site is now a depot, situated just beyond the trees in this view south from an old overbridge.
