Perth New Yard
While the turntable in Perth New Yard deserved better than its recent sad end, it certainly presented something of a challenge in its later years, mainly due to lack of maintenance. Here it is being used to turn 5025 prior to hauling a return special back to Aviemore in June 1981. For some reason colleagues became rather abusive just as I stepped back to take the photographs.
