Glengarnock

One of Ayr shed's Crab 2-6-0s no 42917 approaching Glengarnock station northbound in March 1965 hauling mineral wagons. [Etched in the memory as, after passing through the station, the locomotive proceeded to shunt back into the steelworks sidings to the north. When our train to Paisley pulled out a short time later, we passed a small gathering in the sidings discussing how best to get the derailed wagons back on the road!]
