A Virgin Voyager set heads north on the WCML between the former stations at Standish and Coppull on 21 February 2009. Work is in progress thinning out the trees on the embankments which have taken hold over the past years. The work on the west side of the line is made much easier by the ability to access the site along the trackbed of the former slow lines.
