Watercolour painting by Dumfries artist Dennis McCallum entitled Catching up on time showing a train leaving the north end of Dumfries station in the early 1970s. [Editor's note: The painting is based on an old photograph see image 3438 about which Dennis contacted me through the website asking permission to use it as the basis for this work. He has kindly sent me one of the limited edition prints based on the original painting. His father was a driver at Dumfries shed.]
