In addition to the platform tracks, one of the two through roads at Dewsbury was reinstated to cope with increased traffic. It allows fast trains heading for Leeds to overtake slower services and is well used. Transpennine Express unit 185134 leaves for Leeds and Middlesbrough in a view taken from just outside Dewsbury's increasingly popular Refreshment Rooms, the start of a Rail Ale Trail through Huddersfield to Stalybridge.
