Clitheroe

37354 and 37214 head a cement train through Clitheroe south-west towards Blackburn in March 1992. At this time passenger services to Clitheroe from Manchester had not restarted, however a considerable amount of work has been carried out to the platforms, including the provision of new shelters. The original station building on the right was not part of the reopening plans however it has since been restored and now is used as a gallery. The train had originated from Horrocksford cement works, a short distance to the north-east. One of the works chimneys can be seen in the distance above the platform.
