Longtown

The signal box at Longtown on the Waverley route circa 1962. The view is south from the station footbridge over the level crossing with the single line to Gretna and Mossband Junction branching off to the right. This line was used latterly to give southbound freight traffic off the Waverley a direct route into Kingmoor yard. [Railscot note: Rescued image.]
