Landore Shed
Scene at 87E Landore shed around 1960 with Castle class 4-6-0 no 5082 Swordfish centre picture and 7009 Athelney Castle on the left. Locomotive 5082, a visitor from Old Oak Common, started life as Powis Castle but was renamed in 1941. This large Swansea shed still had 18 'Castles' on its home allocation as late as 1960.
