Although the former Platform 6 at Lancaster Castle is disused the first floor of the original station building is still the booking office, operated by Virgin, and from where the platforms are accessed via the footbridge. 156480 stands in Platform 5 waiting to form a Northern service to Barrow in Furness in this view looking northwards.
